The big idea is to choose a Bible to be your “2025 Bible” and to use it so well that you need a new one for 2026.

This e-course will walk you through your year with your Bible, providing support, encouragement, prompts, and suggestions to keep you reading and studying.

All course materials will be delivered via email (with access to PDF downloads for printing if you’d prefer to read off your screen).

MY STORY

Have you ever looked for your Bible on a Sunday morning only to find that it’s still packed away in your church bag from last week?

Here’s where I hang my head and raise my hand.

I’ve been there and I didn’t like it. I always had good intentions about reading my Bible, but somehow the hours and then the days would pass and I wouldn’t ever take the time to dig deeper into God’s Word.

In November of 2021, I made a change.

I purchased a Bible to be my “2022 Bible.” I wrote my name and the year inside the cover and decided that I was going to see how well I could use that Bible in the coming calendar year.

Success wasn’t completing a certain number of devotionals or reading from Genesis to Revelation. Success wasn’t making my Bible “pretty” with Bible journaling. (Although all of those things are great!)

Success was a Bible that was somewhat tattered, heavily highlighted, and full of notes. In short, success was the number of times I opened my Bible and read God’s Word.

In 2022, I used my Bible and I used it well.

I loved that my progress felt tangible. I could ever so slowly see the edges of my Bible get worn in. I would turn to the sermon text and see that I had already added notes or highlighted a verse on that page. The more I used my Bible the more I felt the pull to keep reading. My 2022 Bible became my almost constant companion. It fit in my purse and I toted it around like some people tote their tiny dogs.

Learning God’s Word more completely and studying it more diligently is a blessing without measure. The more I read, the more confident I am in God’s promises. I am living by His promises, which means my heart and mind rest in a peace, joy, and hope that is ever-deepening.

I loved this project so much that I did it again in 2023, started this e-course in 2024, and would love to walk side by side with you and your Bible in 2025!
