let’s count it all joy
welcome!
It’s July! Summer is here and my neighborhood is bustling with kids playing basketball in driveways and neighbors meeting up over fences or getting together for backyard grillouts. It’s such a contrast from winter, when we are all huddled up and all but hibernating in our own spaces. The joy of community is all around. And - your “Count It All Joy” mailer has arrived!
More than anything, I would love for you to USE the goods from this mailer - to weave them into your projects and your personal devotions, to add color to your spaces, and to gift them to others.
Feel free to “copy” me, use my work as an inspiration to create a “spin-off” project, or go your very own way.
on this special “subscribers only” page, you will find:
Videos on the inspiration behind this collection and on the ways I’ve used the products in this month’s mailer.
Some additional (related) quotes.
Images showcasing the ways I used the products.
Links to all supporting supplies that I used (sketchbooks, frames, art supplies, etc.). Please note that many, but not all of the supply links are affiliate links. And if I missed anything that you are curious about, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask.

To show great love for God and our neighbor we need not do great things. It is how much love we put in the doing that makes our offering something beautiful for God.

Our relationship with each other is the criterion the world uses to judge whether our message is truthful - Christian community is the final apologetic.
-Francis Schaeffer
We are created for community, fashioned for fellowship, and formed for a family, and none of us can fulfill God’s purposes by ourselves.
-Rick Warren
A good community insures itself by trust, by good faith and good will, by mutual help. A good community, in other words, is a good local economy.
-Wendell Berry
It is not the experience of Christian community, but firm and certain faith within Christian community that holds us together.

PROJECT IMAGES
SUPPLIES I USED alongside THIS MONTH’S MAILER CONTENTS
Frames/Matting:
Mat for 5x7 artwork (similar - as I bought mine in a pack of 50)
Art Journals:
“Soho Urban Artist Sketch Kraft” notebook
Travelers notebook insert (dot grid)
“Cachet Classic” ecru wirebound sketchbook
Paint:
I typically use “heavy body acrylic” paints in my art practice and particularly like Golden and Utrecht. Since I have these readily on hand, I also use them in my art journals.
Any sort of “craft paint” like this also works well in art journals.
When I want to thin my paints (such as I did for the dot grid notebook page with the Martin Luther quotes), I use this flow improver, but water also works well!
Photo Insert Pages:
8.5 x 11 We R Memory Keepers 3-Pocket Page
Bible:
The Jesus Bible - This is the exact one I have.
There are also several other (pretty!) cover options for The Jesus Bible.
My 2023 NIV paperback Bible - I love it because it fits in my purse!
“The Christian community is a community of the cross, for it has been brought into being by the cross, and the focus of its worship is the Lamb once slain, now glorified.”
