let’s count it all joy

welcome!

It’s June! Summer is approaching and the hope that feels almost tangible in the changing of the seasons is all around us. And - your “Count It All Joy” mailer has arrived!

More than anything, I would love for you to USE the goods from this mailer - to weave them into your projects and your personal devotions, to add color to your spaces, and gift them to others.

Feel free to “copy” me, use my work as an inspiration to create a “spin-off” project, or go your very own way.

on this special “subscribers only” page, you will find:

  • Links to videos on the inspiration behind this collection and on the ways I’ve used the products in this month’s mailer.

  • Some additional (related) quotes.

  • Images showcasing the ways I used the products.

  • Links to all supporting supplies that I used (sketchbooks, frames, art supplies, etc.). Please note that many, but not all of the supply links are affiliate links.

related quotes

I love to think of nature as an unlimited broadcasting station, through which God speaks to us every hour, if we will only tune in.

—George Washington Carver

Earth’s crammed with heaven and every common bush afire with God; but only he who sees takes off his shoes.

—Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Reading about nature is fine, but if a person walks in the woods and listens carefully, he can learn more than what is in books, for they speak with the voice of God.

—George Washington Carver

I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.

PROJECT IMAGES

SUPPLIES I USED alongside THIS MONTH’S MAILER CONTENTS

Frames/Matting:

8x10 frame

Mat for 5x7 artwork (similar - as I bought mine in a pack of 50)

5x7 frame

Art Journals:

“Soho Urban Artist Sketch Kraft” notebook

Travelers notebook insert (dot grid)

Travelers notebook cover

“Cachet Classic” ecru wirebound sketchbook

Paint:

I typically use “heavy body acrylic” paints in my art practice and particularly like Golden and Utrecht. Since I have these readily on hand, I also use them in my art journals.

Any sort of “craft paint” like this also works well in art journals.

When I want to thin my paints (such as I did for the dot grid notebook page with the Martin Luther quotes), I use this flow improver, but water also works well!

Photo Insert Pages:

8.5 x 11 We R Memory Keepers 9-Pocket Page

Bible:

The Jesus Bible - This is the exact one I have.

There are also several other (pretty!) cover options for The Jesus Bible.

God writes the gospel not in the Bible alone, but on trees & flowers & clouds & stars.
— Martin Luther
