This piece is the heart of the Bravely collection. Perhaps the greatest wish of all love is to see the person we love (be it sweetheart, child or friend) being themselves, bravely. No hiding in the shadows or taking on other personas. But living fully and truly as the person God has made them to be.

• PLEASE NOTE: Painting has some marks and scratches that cannot be repaired. I love them and think they add to the painting, but if this is not your style - it may not be the piece for you. (See last three photos for detail shots.)

• Cradled wood panel is ready to hang on the wall or will sit without support on a flat, level surface such as a shelf or table

• Painting has a topcoat of UV varnish to protect it from air borne pollutants, UV rays and fading

• Shipping outside the US is set to $40 per order + $1 per item.  Any additional shipping costs or credits will be calculated based on distance and package dimensions and will be invoiced or refunded after sale.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Bravely was created as an expression of my leap into artistry, the safety net that has caught me and the ways God is pushing me to see that I am ready to step out again and again. 

Like all of my work, this collection has deep roots in motherhood.  

Our children are always witnesses to our choices big and small.  And mine have definitely been watching.  They are watching me reach, try, grow, honor myself, make time for beauty and creating.  They have stood beside me with paintbrushes in their own hands. They have heard me tell them “in a minute, mama is painting right now.”  My transformation is their transformation. My choices have an impact not just on my own inner growth, but on the way my children see the world.  

I pray that my work might be a witness to the beauty that can unfold when we try again, stretch a little further, truly honor the people God made us to be and make time for the things that move us.  

Through this body of work, I explore and acknowledge the intrinsic value inside each of us as children of the living God and the power of purpose and faith.
